How a 3D part earns a real-car record.

A CAD render is a useful tool, not a conclusion. OCP3D keeps each stage visible so you can see exactly what the part has earned — and what it has not.

THE OPERATING RULE

Plenty of sites will call a 3D-printed part “reviewed for accuracy” because someone looked at the CAD. OCP3D works differently: the evidence stays attached to the part.

    Measure the surviving original.

    Every reproduction starts with caliper measurements of a real part — never eyeballed from photos, never ‘close enough.’ Critical dimensions are published free with their source and confidence. Measure your own part against ours, or buy ours. The CAD files stay in the workshop.

    Label drafts as drafts.

    Until a real part has met the calipers, a design is marked In development — visibly, everywhere. A render can show a proposed geometry; it cannot prove a fit.

    Choose material for where it lives.

    PETG for proof prints and shaded interiors; ASA where sun and heat reach. A fit in one material is never assumed to transfer to another — each earns its own confirmation.

    Earn the real-car record.

    ‘Fitted on a real car’ means exactly that: an actual installation and confirmation, with car, year, and material on the record. Not simulated. Not implied. Fitted.

    Close the loop in public.

    Where the offer applies and a part does not fit, we remake it at no cost — then use the resulting measurements to improve the next version. That is how the catalog gets stronger.
